#KNIFE MASTER SPELL ATTACK PATCH#
If they add a animation where I spin like a bladmaster using whirlwind and hundreds of knives fly out from me like a fountain of knives, I will love this game forever :DĮdit: Changed all the FoN to FoK, just so people don't think I'm illiterate :P (you thought paladins "bubbling" was odd, just imagine when people start saying "That rogue loves to FoK")Ĭomment by 37560After patch it seems Combat Daggers (this post is PURELY for discussion) would benefit the most from the 150% increase it deals MORE damage than an equivalent sword weapon.įrom what I have sitting in my pack, Silent Crusader / Widow's Fury combo a FoK would deal:

I'd love to see a video of a rogue doing a SM run in less then 2 mins ^.^įor those of you that don't belong to leveling guilds or twink guilds where you are often asked to run people through instances, this post will mean little if anything to you :P If your weapons equal an average of 1750 damage when you're level 80 and have lovely WotLK weapons, you might even be able to clear all the mobs you pulled with FoK, evasion, FoK, and then you can save your preperation to restore FoK when you get to the boss in SM. That's 3 FoK, and very little damage to you. Or, if you're sub-spec like I am, you can FoK, evasion, preperation, FoK, then after the evasion wears off use another evasion then FoK.
#KNIFE MASTER SPELL ATTACK FULL#
Meaning rogues may have a shot at doing full SM pulls XD.Ī strategy for pulling off such a feat would probably be sprint, pull as much as the instance as possible, fan of knives, evasion for half the CD, then another FoK, and that should clear the mobs. Atm, my weapons at level 70 my weapons would do 630-832, if I equiped a slow offhand I could achieve 1000+ damage, with WotLK, I expect weapons will scale up to 1750-ish. As a interesting sidenote, for those rogues who are running guildies through instances, you might want to equip a slow off-hand as your poisons won't have much use on low level mobs and this attack does 100% damage of both your weapons. Since this ability requires melee weapons, I would suggest anything BUT daggers, since maximum damage would be achieved with fists, swords, or maces. That being said, this is probably going to be the skill that rogues would use in helping guildies run low level instances, as (other then combat spec) rogues don't handle multiple mobs too well.

If the invisible blade is caught flat-footed or is otherwise denied his Dexterity modifier to Armor Class, he also loses this bonus.Comment by KlentirFirst off, I'd just like to say I've been waiting for Blizzard to add this skill to to rogues for a LONG time now, and I'm thrilled that they finaly got around to it :).

Because of this sixth sense, he adds 1 point of Intelligence bonus (if any) per invisible blade class level to his Armor Class in addition to any other modifiers he would normally receive. If he already has the sneak attack ability from a previous class, the applicable bonuses on damage rolls stack.Unfettered Defense (Ex): An invisible blade benefits from an increased survival instinct during combat. When making a sneak attack with one of these weapons, he deals an extra 1d6 points of damage at 1st level, and this increases to 2d6 at 3rd level and to 3d6 at 5th level. Class FeaturesWeapon and Armor Proficiency: Invisible blades gain no proficiency with any weapon or armor.Dagger Sneak Attack (Ex): An invisible blade gains the sneak attack ability (see the description of the, earlier in this chapter) if he does not already have it, but the extra damage applies only to sneak attacks made with a dagger, kukri, or punching dagger (the DM may allow other similar weapons).
